June for the Cavalcade of Planes special event, the perfect time for aviation enthusiasts of all ages to come turn their eyes towards the sky
Clow International Airport is a public general aviation airport and are home to A&M Aviation FBO, the Illinois Aviation Museum, the Civil Air Patrol local squadron, and Charlie's Restaurant.
Every June, Clow hosts the Cavalcade of Planes, attracting over 10,000 aviation enthusiasts who are treated to displays of historic aircraft, museum exhibits, food & entertainment, flyovers, rides in experimental aircraft and may learn about local Search & Rescue teams.
If you can't make it in the summer, but love aircraft, you can still come by Charlie's Restaurant for some casual dining and excellent views of the runway. For the more serious hobbyists, you are likely to bump into interesting folks grabbing a coffee while taking a break from restoring old planes to their original glory. Continue learning about vintage aircraft by seeing restoration projects up-close at the Illinois Aviation Museum. If you have always wanted to become a pilot, you can do that, too. A&M Aviation is ready to take you up and get you on your way to earning your pilot's licence.
At Clow the sky is the limit. Pun intended.
