July to September are the best month ("Dry Season") - Best early in the morning
Waterfall climbing, swimming into gorges, hiking to waterfalls. Cilaos has really a lot to offer. The weather is a little shaky, so better start early in the morning, because in the afternoon it either starts raining or fog is coming up.
When you decide to do the hike into the gorge, don't forget to bring a towel, swimming clothes and some flip-flops. The water is ice-cold, but it is good fun to swim to the little waterfall at the end of the gorge
