Carara National Park
Early in the morning or late in the afternoon to beat the crowds. In general prefer the dry season from December to April.
During the dry season there is considerably less rain at Carara. The wettest month are from August to October. While you walk through that beautiful rainforest you can discover many species of birds, frogs, sloths and also snakes. We were lucky to see a Scarlet Macaw at the blue sky and a Boat-billed Heron. There are two different entrances both are worth to visit. Close to the National Park is the Rio Tarcoles and bridge which is a fantastic place to observe huge crocodiles.
