Cabo Espichel Farol
You can visit year round, sunset is stunning but lighthouse is open to the public on Wednesdays only from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
It is as breathtaking as Cabo da Roca but less overrun 45 km south of Lisboa. The lighthouse is on a 150 m high cliff and is 32 m high. It was built in 1790 at the same location of an ancient lighthouse which was constructed in 1430. Open to the public to climb the tower on Wednesdays only. The entrance is free. In walking distance is the sanctuary "Santuário de Nossa Senhora" and dinosaur footprints. You have a stunning view of Caparica and Meco. If you want to visit Cabo Espichel have a look to Meco and combine it.
