Canisp is one of the spectacular Assynt hills. The easiest way to the top is from the lay-by of the road A837 past the Ledmore junction.
The best time is usually from mid April to September but can be walked all year in a good weather

Suilven is only 731 metres high, but its one of the finest mountains in Scotland. Its stunning views make it even more fascinating.

Year round, there is no specific time. ​You just have to see what she (Suilven) looks like in the morning when you get up: Great and climbable? :) She always seems to have a cloud hat on, even in the summer.

Typicallly you´ll start at Gualin House or at Loch Stack and since I've chosen the Gualin House approach I am going to describe it that way as well.

Start of the walk is in the small village of Arnisdale. The path up is very steep but gives great views. Be careful since the last part of the path is almost a scramble.
